Full Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Coordinator, Student Accessibility and Career Services provides comprehensive support to students in the areas of accessibilty services and career exploration.

This position is responsible for coordinating services that promote student access, retention, completion, and successful transition to employment or further education.

The Coordinator ensures compliance with applicable federal and state regulations related to accessibility services while also delivering innovative career development programming aligned with workforce needs.

Job Duties:

Coordinate and implement reasonable accommodations for students with documented disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and institutional polices and procedures.

Review disability documentation and engage in the interactive process to determine appropriate accommodations.

'Develop and maintain accommodation plans and communicate with faculty regarding implementation while maintaining accurate and confidential records. Provide guidance and support to students on self-advocacy and use of accommodations.

Provide individual and group career advising, including career exploration, goal setting, and academic/career alignment.

'Coordinate career related workshops, events, and employer engagement opportunities (i.e. job fairs, information sessions) while developing relationships with local employers to support internships and job placement opportunities.

'Assist students with resume development, cover letter, interview preparation, and job search strategies.

Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.

Qualifications

Preferred: A bachelor's degree and two years of experience in career services, advising, accessibility/disability services, or a related student services area, preferrably in a community college setting.
