The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a motivated Semi-Skilled Laborer to join our Division of Installation Maintenance.

In this position, you will support maintenance repair personnel with daily tasks in various skilled trades, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general construction.
Responsibilities include performing manual labor such as installing sheeting to studs, replacing light bulbs, cleaning work areas, and disposing of lumber and other used materials.
You will assist with the preparation and painting of both interior and exterior surfaces and gain exposure to various trades through hands-on experience and mentorship from skilled maintenance staff.
Additional duties include grounds maintenance activities such as cutting grass, trimming trees and shrubs, assisting with landscaping projects, removing weeds, dead branches, and debris, raking leaves, and clearing stones from roads and sidewalks.
You will load and unload supplies and move furniture, office equipment, materials, and other items as directed.
Seasonal responsibilities include removing snow and ice from roads, sidewalks, and parking areas using shovels, plows, blowers, or ice choppers.
General custodial duties are also required, including cleaning floors, windows, walls, ceilings, and restrooms.
