Job Description

Summary

This job involves safeguarding classified and sensitive information in the Navy by providing advice on security policies, enforcing regulations for handling materials, and leading security projects that support national missions.

  • Experience in planning, developing, and executing security projects with potential national or international impact
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including making formal presentations on complex or controversial topics to diverse audiences
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-02 (or GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing guidance or advice on security program policies, procedures, or methods to ensure the protection or safekeeping of classified national security information or other sensitive information.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will be responsible for protecting classified national security information and other sensitive information originated, or controlled by CNRMC from theft, loss, misuse, fraud, espionage, or sabotage.
  • You will advise in matters pertaining to the enforcement of regulations governing the receipt, dissemination, reproduction, regarding, transmission, safekeeping, and destruction of classified material.
  • You will participate in and/or lead planning, development, and execution of vital security projects and programs that are central to the mission that may have national or international impact.
  • You will communicate both orally and in writing, with all levels of command from various backgrounds, and make formal presentations to a variety of audiences on controversial or complex topics to a variety of audiences.
