Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing and overseeing various security programs for a naval command, including handling information, personnel, and physical security to ensure compliance and protect sensitive operations.

The role requires developing policies, conducting assessments, and advising leadership on security matters in a government facility.

Key Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12/13 or NH-03 in developing or implementing security policies for programs like information, personnel, physical, industrial security, foreign disclosure, insider threat, emergency management, and continuity of operations

  • Skills in conducting studies, analyses, and projects to develop security systems, procedures, and vulnerability assessments

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Security Officer in the AEGIS Technical Representative office of AEGIS TECHREP.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience to the next lower pay band NH-03 or grade level (GS 12-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing policy or implementing instructions to resolve problems in existing security programs (e.g.

Information Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Industrial Security, Foreign Disclosure, Insider Threat, Emergency Management and Commands Continuity of Operations) for the compliance of organizational security requirements.

  • You will serve as Command Security Manager.
  • You will be responsible for the development, oversight, administration, management, implementation, and enforcement of Information, Personnel, Physical, Operational, Foreign Disclosure, and Industrial Security Programs.
  • You will conduct studies, analyses, and projects to develop information systems, methods, techniques, short/long range procedures for program development and implementation.
  • You will ensure program requirements are executed in accordance with regulatory requirements, higher headquarters policies/guidance, and Command mission requirements in support of organizational requirements.
  • You will serve as the principal advisor to AEGIS TECHREP's Commanding Officer.
  • You will direct all matters pertaining to Information Security, Personnel Security, Physical Security, Industrial Security, Foreign Disclosure, Insider Threat, Emergency Management and Commands Continuity of Operations/Emergency Action Plan.
  • You will oversee issuance of CAC cards, access, visit requests, investigations, accounting, reproduction, classification, marking, and compromise reporting.
  • You will develop written information and personnel security procedures, instructions and plans, and be responsible for developing vulnerability assessments.
  • You will provide expert advice/counsel on aspects of personnel, physical, and information security for work which takes place in Government-owned/government operated facilities.
  • You will receive and screen visit requests, determines if a photo badge is required based on length or frequency of visits; initiates requests for photo badges and renewals if required.
  • You will ensure that proper controls are maintained on all classified documents in the command both at the Main Plant and at CSEDS.
  • You will provide security oversight and guidance to all personnel both military and civilian.
  • You will formulate and coordinate the command's security awareness training program.
  • You will conduct new employee indoctrination briefings to acquaint them with command security policies/procedures.
  • You will establish work assignments to be accomplished by the employees in the program, setting priorities, preparing schedules for work completion, and ensuring the timely performance of satisfactory work efforts.
