Requirements

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding people and property while enforcing Commonwealth and facility regulations related to hospital operations during normal and emergency situations.

Work involves performing security patrols of the facility, monitoring security systems and cameras, and investigating complaints, accidents, incidents, and potential violations of policies, laws, rules and regulations.

This includes performing security checks of all buildings to ensure all doors and windows are secure and that no unauthorized personnel are located on hospital property, conducting searches for missing patients, and responding to all emergency situations.

You will also maintain security daily logs and reports, as well as prepare incident and accident reports when needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Sunday – Saturday. You will have every other weekend off and work rotating holidays.
  • Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • Travel and overtime: As needed.
  • Free parking.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Special Requirement:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle operator's license.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
