Job Description

Summary

This job involves overseeing personnel and manpower programs for the Navy's legal team, ensuring military and civilian staffing needs are met through planning, coordination, and strategic support.

It requires working closely with various Navy offices to manage global legal workforce requirements and handle complex assignments.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the JAGC Organization.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: Managing personnel programs, including knowledge of the principles, concepts, and methodology of personnel management analysis using a broad knowledge of the mission, functions, tasks and organizational structure of DoD, DON, the JAGC, and their relationships to each other and other activities; Providing extensive knowledge of Navy and Joint organizational structures, functions, operations, and procedures of Navy staffs, operational units, and sea/shore-based activities, as well as organizational structure, assigned missions, and duties JAGC total force; Demonstrating expert ability to apply analytical techniques to reconcile manpower accounting imbalances, and applying knowledge of the principles of management; Demonstrating the ability to timely execute all military and civilian personnel requirements, programs and integrating and developing strategic plans to support and implement priorities.

  • You will liaise, as necessary, with Budget Submitting Offices (BSOs), involving personnel-manpower, major staffs, and resource sponsors for all matters related to global legal manpower requirements and capabilities.
  • You will be responsible for the management and planning of the timely execution of military and civilian personnel requirements, programs, and integration by developing strategic plans to support and implement JAGC priorities.
  • You will work closely with the Total Force Management Special Assistant for Community Management and other JAGC stakeholders.
  • You will conduct special assignments on complex high-priority issues in which the scope may alter as the work progresses.
  • You will provide oversight and supervision on JAGC actions relating to assignment, alignment, and validation of total force manpower requirements functions performed by and in support of the TFM Special Assistant for Community Management.
  • You will support the Director of Total Force Management in the management of JAGC programs impacting civilian and military personnel.
  • You will provide oversight and supervision on JAGC actions relating to assignment, alignment, and validation of total force manpower requirements functions performed by and in support of the Total Force Management POM and Planning Division.
