Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

We are seeking a Parole Hearing Officer to provide quasi-judicial work in the adjudication of parole hearings and the conducting of parole interviews.

In this position, you will assist the Board in making parole release decisions.
Your work will involve conducting various hearings required in the parole violation process and conducting interviews of victims upon request.
You will conduct parole consideration interviews on any cases in Pennsylvania sentenced to two or more years of confinement who has reached the minimum sentence.
Your duties will also include conducting first and second level Parole Violation Hearings on both technical parole violations and violations for convictions in a court of record either alone or in a panel consisting of a Hearing Examiner and a Board Member.
Additionally, you will hear testimony from crime victims concerning the initial impact and the continuing effects of the crime on them and their feelings regarding release of an inmate on parole.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
You will be required to report quarterly for a staff meeting in Harrisburg for the day. All interviews and hearings will be done virtually.
The agency reserves the right to designate an alternative work location at any time.
