About GovOps and the Surplus Property programThe Department of Government Operations provides support to, and enables other state agencies to fulfill their core missions.
When state and other governmental agencies can no longer use state-owned property, the property is offered to the public for sale and/or auction.
Surplus Property is responsible for the accounting and ethical disposal/sale of these items.
Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.Physical RequirementsTypically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there will be some walking; standing; bending; climbing; lifting/carrying; driving an automobile, etc.
The employee may be required to climb on top of large vehicles and equipment, up to 10 feet.Lifting sale items requires the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.DHRM rules apply for promotions and transfers.
