Full Job Description

You will serve as a MANAGER in the Corporate Operations Department (10), Security Division (105) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-06 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and supervising personnel, physical, or information security programs, to oversee, identify and mitigate security threats in accordance with federal regulations, directives, and policies for an organization.

  • You will serve as Division Manager, providing supervisory oversight, technical leadership, and strategic direction for employees within the Security Division, ensuring the effective and efficient execution of all security functions.
  • You will develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures for the following security programs: physical, operations, information, personnel, industrial, and Anti-terrorism/Force Protection.
  • You will implement and administer Division physical security and safeguarding personnel, facilities, and assets.
  • You will ensure proper security classification/control of Division information and material, manage dissemination of classified information, to other U.S. government agencies, foreign governments, and international defense organizations.
  • You will manage and oversee the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI)/Communication Security (COMSEC), North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and Privacy Act Programs.
  • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining long and short-term planning for funding, human resources, facilities, and equipment.
  • You will make recommendations on controversial and routine problems, address security challenges and mitigate risks.
