Summary

This job is for a deputy director role overseeing security compliance for sensitive intelligence operations at a naval warfare center in California.

Full Job Description

The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze.

Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.

You will serve as the Deputy Director (Compliance), Intelligence Operations (Code Z20) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-5 pay band (GS-13 and GS-14 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a mastery of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) security administration programs in a Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) environment.

  • You will ensure the effective execution of the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) security compliance as well as the Intelligence Operations (IO) compliance programs for NSWC Port Hueneme.
  • You will serve as the Deputy Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) and Deputy Government Activity Manager (GAM).
  • You will ensure the development and implementation of written policy and personnel security procedures geared to be in alignment with all applicable policies that maximize flexibility and is supportive of mission accomplishment.
  • You will manage and direct the operations of the Z20 Division, which includes assigned branches and personnel, budgets, hiring, discipline, process development, performance feedback, quality control, and employee development.
  • You will be responsible for the development and execution of budgets, reporting of financial budget to actuals, and the health and effectiveness of supporting contract vehicles and assigned contractors.
  • You will be responsible for providing security compliance support, planning and oversight of security related activities for ongoing projects and programs for enduring and short duration-high intensity activity.
