Base salary range: $74,441 - $96,770

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).

This position is located in the Bureau of Personnel and Training, Office of Overseas Employment (PERT/OE), U.S. Department of State.
The division carries sole responsibility for the design of all major cash, non-cash, and risk benefit plans for 186 missions.
This responsibility involves compensation and benefit studies, data analysis, plan design, renewal analysis, and reviews for benefit plan soundness and compliance.

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience providing programmatic support to federal HR professionals and Locally Employed (LE) staff at U.S. Missions abroad.
Experience analyzing commercial vendor survey data to recommend compensation and benefit adjustments for LE Staff. There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-13 position.
