Full Job Description

This position for The Defense Information Systems Agency is at Fort Meade, Maryland . In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.

Time in Grade: For entry at the GS-6 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-5 or higher grade in the Federal Service.

For entry at the GS-7 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-6 or higher grade in the Federal Service.

Basic Requirements: Typing Requirement: Applicants must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-6, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-5 if outside the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as assisting with office support functions such as maintaining calendars and following up on suspense items OR maintaining and consolidating files.

For the GS-7, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service, or comparable in difficulty and responsibility to GS-6 if outside the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as performing office support functions which includes reviewing correspondence for accuracy OR maintaining internal correspondence to ensure access to accurate up to date information.

In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position.

Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position.

Qualification and time-in-grade requirements must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Major Duties:

  • Provides daily support to the Division Chief, Division staff, and Directorate as required.
  • Facilitates communication between the Division Chief, Division staff, and other DISA organizations, acting as a direct liaison to ensure effective coordination and exchange of information.
  • Establishes and implements written administrative procedures to ensure effective management of applicable systems.
  • Reviews all incoming Division correspondence and taskings received from DISA, DoW and other agencies for action, review, and response.
  • Manages the Division Chief’s calendar and keeps the Division Chief informed daily on scheduled and projected meetings, taskings, and advises as changes occur.
