Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves helping manage and track audits within the cybersecurity division of U.S.
Customs and Border Protection, including guiding teams through the audit process, preparing reports for high-level leaders, and verifying that fixes are implemented after audits.

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S.
Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology, Cyber Security Directorate located in Ashburn, VA.
Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
Experience: You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Assisting with analyzing audit related information in a tracking system for response to senior management requests concerning the status of completed, ongoing, or planned audits.
Providing guidance and direction to a variety of customers on all aspects of the audit process.
from notifications, responding to auditor request, facilitating entrance/exit conferences, to responding to findings and recommendations.
Developing comprehensive reports and briefing materials for senior-level officials, including Senior Executive Service (SES) and political appointees, detailing the status and recommendations of audits conducted by oversight authorities.
Conducting verification of corrective actions to ensure audit recommendations have been fully implemented.

As a Management and Program Analyst, you will carry out tasks associated with audits, reviews, inspections, surveys, and assessments and provide advice to management and team leaders on variety of administrative initiatives.
This position starts at a salary of $102,415.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $133,142.00 (GS-12, Step 10) with promotion potential to $133,142 (GS-12 Step 10).
Major duties of this position include: Reviewing audit documentation and provides input and recommendations to leadership on cross-cutting programmatic and operational issues arising throughout the course of internal and external audits within the purview of the Office of Information and Technology.
Assigning audit and assessment requests to the appropriate office, tracking to completion, and reviewing for submission to the auditor/assesor.
Ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness of CBP operations & mission, by generating reports and completing assigned tasks to help ensure recommendations, corrective actions, and follow-up actions for identified vulnerabilities and weaknesses are tracked and remediated accordingly.
Facilitating and scribing audit meetings and tracts follow-on action items to completion. Maintaining CBP and OIT audit data tracking systems.
