To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements. Education There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position.
OR Experience You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.
To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience collecting, developing, and analyzing information to provide recommendations, resolve complex issues and develop and implement policies, plans, and programs impacting region-wide policies, procedures, and programs.
Experience preparing and editing technical documentation, correspondence, responses to Congressional inquiries, and memorandums for CEO level review.
Experience analyzing, extracting, summarizing, and identifying significant trends and issues.
Experience analyzing technical information and making recommendations regarding existing policies and procedures.
Experience in using Microsoft Excel, developing formulas, importing data, analyzing data, and making recommendations.
Experience in analyzing and interpreting agency manuals, policy issuances, Federal Acquisition Regulations, in Code of Federal Regulations, and the Federal Register.

This position is located within an assigned component of the Human Resource Management Division (HRMD), Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), at the Central Office in Washington, DC.
Provides analytical and consultative services to management to ensure strategic alignment of Division programs and services with the Bureau's mission, goals, and objectives.
Plans, develops, researches, and conducts internal review studies on the Bureau of Prisons' (BOP) personnel systems, programs, and policies.
Participates in the preparation of written documents, presentations, graphs and computer-generated materials for briefings and presentations for high-level Government and non-Government officials.
Performs and organizes organizational and data collection studies to identify and suggest improvements in efficiency, manpower and methods.
Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
The staffs correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
