This role involves leading a team to oversee the maintenance, operations, and management of Navy facilities, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently within budget.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Facilities Management and Sustainment Division Director in the Facilities Management and Sustainment (FM&S) Division of the Public Works Directorate at of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: The incumbent must have knowledge of facility management concepts, principles and practices.

The incumbent must have knowledge of codes governing the construction, operations, maintenance, and disposal of building.

Knowledge of the functions, policies procedures of organizational components of the FEC, NAFACSYSCOM LANT/PAC, and NAVFACSYSCOM Headquarters.

Experience in multiple technical fields, flexibility, and interact with diverse groups with NAVFACSYSCOM.

Technical knowledge to plan, assign, direct, and review the products and services produced throughout the FEC.

Experience performing professional facilities management across a portfolio that includes Class A or Class B Office Buildings.

  • You will plan and establish goals and objectives for the division, translating management goals into effective production guidance.
  • You will use industrial business practices, cost reduction and efficiency improvement programs, budget planning and execution techniques, and community management.
  • You will monitor both project and program execution and manages established schedules and goals.
  • You will find and implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, promote team building, or improve business practices.
  • You will manage, supervise, direct, and mentor a cross-functional, multidisciplinary execution team delivering facilities management and sustainment products and services to Navy and Marine Corps activities in the FEC’s area of responsibility.
  • You will plan, direct and coordinate actions involved in the overall management, operational/technical guidance control and analysis of all FMS functions performed at the Installation level Public Works Departments within the Navy Region.
  • Implements all policies and directives issued by the NAVFAC Washington Commanding Officer and other appropriate authorities applicable to the conduct of the NAVFAC Washington Public Works Directorate.
  • You will manage resources consistent with associated budgetary funding levels and develops execution plans for personnel staffing with the assigned payroll dollar controls and monitors to ensure that control will not be exceeded.
