This vacancy is for a Management & Program Analyst in the National Telecommunications and Information Administration within the Department of Commerce.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.

This experience need not have been in the federal government.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social).

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify at the GS-12 level: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the GS-11 (or equivalent pay band) level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience is defined as: Assisting with managing and maintaining programming data/information management systems; Analyzing and evaluating administrative programs and proposing recommendations to modify policies and processes; and Preparing correspondence, charts, tables, reports, and slides utilizing Microsoft Office 365 and other tools and applications.

Major Duties:

As a Management & Program Analyst, you will perform the following duties: Manage and maintain assigned programming data/information systems and assist with developing operations data.

Evaluating programs and their operations, organization, methods, and procedures within the NTIA program office.

Make recommendations to modify administrative policies and processes for use in the management and direction of programs.

Review and analyze policies, regulations, procedures, and system(s) requirements. Research current or new management practices for application to programs or operations.

Assist with analyzing management information requirements for program or administrative reporting systems, including the systems specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology.

Serve as the COR, monitoring and overseeing contractor performance, technical requirements, and providing direction within the contract scope.
