Full Job Description

You will serve as Chief of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the GG-15/Band 5 of NAVAL INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITY.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-14 grade level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1.

Lead, manage, and oversee the drafting of congressional correspondence; 2. Formulate and advise senior leaders regarding long term planning, strategic direction, and engagement strategies; 3.

Lead, manage, and motivate teams to ensure products are aligned with organizational requirements and delivered on time; AND 4.

Develop and maintain relationships with interagency counterparts and congressional staff.

  • You will lead the Congressional and Inter-governmental Affairs (CIGA) team and advise the Director on interactions with Congress.
  • You will lead and manage the CIGA team on a daily basis.
  • You will lead the drafting and review all verbal and written communication for members of Congress and congressional staff to include briefings, letters, and sponsoring site visits when applicable.
  • You will lead the coordination of the Activity’s engagements with members of Congress and their staffs.
  • You will work with Activity leadership to develop a clear and accurate message to congressional stakeholders.
  • You will serve as the Deputy Chief of Plans, Strategy, and Engagement (PSE), representing the Chief of PSE at internal and external meetings, and serve as Acting Chief of PSE as required.
