Summary

This job as a Management Analyst at U.S.

As a Management Analyst, you will assist in administering a variety of programs, policies and procedures, provide advice, guidance, and instruction concerning administrative programs that include complex and sensitive issues, and provide excellent customer service.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 02/18/2026.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.

The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 02/18/2026 GS-12: You qualify at the GS-05 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-04 level in the federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position.

You must have experience performing the following duties: Applying and modifying established practices to specific administrative problems which involve many variables Conducting independent evaluations of administrative functions and preparing study findings, recommendations, and reports.

Providing advice on a variety of administrative and management programs and procedures.

Making agreements and commitments at meetings and during telephone discussions, in accordance with previously received instructions. Performing liaison functions with other organizations.

Effectively presenting an organization's needs and establishing harmonious working relations with various counterparts.

  • Organizational Location: This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, within the Office of Contracting and are assigned based on the need of the agency.
  • Serve as a liaison and consultative link with Headquarters Program Offices for Property, Human Resources, Budget and similar administrative programs.
  • Develop, implement, interpret, and advise on administrative requirements.
  • Prepare and present project analysis to managers to promote an understanding of the findings and recommendations.
  • Review newly issued regulations or directives to ascertain their impact on program areas.
  • Conduct extensive research and analysis on administrative projects to develop options, make recommendations, and provide comprehensive reports.
  • Monitor administrative activities and prepares a variety of reports utilizing various automated systems.
  • Participate in planning and development of business strategies and recommends internal procedural changes.
