Requirements
As a Maintenance Repairman 2 (MR2), you will perform building maintenance, preventative repairs, and renovations for hospital property and equipment. Working from supervisor-issued work orders, you will operate independently at the journeyman level or collaborate with other MR2s to ensure the facility remains in peak condition. Your technical responsibilities will include installing electrical circuits, breakers, and lighting, as well as maintaining plumbing fixtures and piping systems. In addition, you will manage structural finishes by framing wood and steel studs, installing and finishing drywall, and performing professional painting for interior and exterior surfaces. Your craftsmanship extends to fabricating trim, installing windows and doors, and executing masonry work from initial prep to final pour. To ensure the safety of all consumers and staff, you will also exercise technical independence in determining repair methods and manage outdoor grounds safety by clearing snow and ice with specialized equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will be subject to emergency call-in.
- Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $40,685.00 (before taxes).

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement:- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
