In this role, you will perform semi-skilled manual work in the construction and maintenance of various buildings, grounds, and other features of the Pine Grove Furnace State Park.
Work uses a variety of construction, grounds keeping, and maintenance equipment and tools so you will have the chance to grow the skills you have and learn new skills on the job.
We will rely on you to complete minor repairs, routine grounds keeping, and custodial duties by yourself.
You will also assist and take direction from skilled trades workers on more advanced construction and repair work.
Work involves assisting with carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and other building trades work for park buildings, in addition to cleaning restroom facilities, buildings, and maintaining other parts of the park.
This includes helping with installing picnic grills and park benches, mowing, picking up and properly disposing of trash, and removing storm damaged and hazardous trees and branches.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
The season runs from approximately April 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay.
The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately April 2027.
