Requirements
The Maintenance Repairman 2 at Ricketts Glen State Park performs skilled, journey-level work across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, masonry, electrical, mechanical, welding, and landscaping, to maintain, repair, and construct park buildings, facilities, and equipment. This role involves interpreting blueprints, performing preventative maintenance, operating light and heavy equipment safely, and leading semi-skilled staff or laborers on projects. Additional responsibilities include grounds and turf care, trail and road maintenance, painting, snow removal, and assisting with water and sewage treatment systems. Employees also manage tools, materials, and work sites according to park procedures, maintain accurate records, and ensure a safe and clean environment for both staff and visitors. This position offers hands-on experience, variety in daily tasks, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on one of Pennsylvania’s most iconic state parks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Seasonal, full-time employment without benefits
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Weekend work is required from Memorial Day to Labor Day with two days off mid-week.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.
