This job involves hands-on maintenance of outdoor areas around Pennsylvania's Capitol Complex, such as mowing lawns, trimming plants, removing snow and debris, and keeping the grounds clean and tidy.
You'll also drive small vehicles and operate equipment to handle these tasks, with some repair work on tools when needed.
It's a great fit for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, has basic maintenance experience, and is reliable in all weather conditions.

The Maintenance Repairman 1 is responsible for the appearance, general care, and maintenance of the grounds to include gardens, trees, shrubbery, lawn care, and snow and ice removal in the Capitol Complex and outlying facilities.
Work includes operating and utilizing a variety of mechanized and motorized grounds keeping equipment and tools to maintain lawn and garden areas.
Driving light vehicles such as jeeps, pickup trucks, small dumps, and other miscellaneous equipment related to grounds keeping will be your responsibility.
This position monitors the exterior of the Capitol Complex and related outlying buildings to include removing litter and debris from grounds, sidewalks, streets, and parking areas.
You will be expected to load and unload items from trucks and maintain supply and equipment storage areas in a clean and orderly condition.
