THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1178P01 and is part of the PA Unit Training Equipment Site, National Guard.

1 or more Position(s) may be hired against this Announcement. APPOINTMENT STATUS: EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: Bargaining Position AOC 1: NG Employees at the Unit Training Equipment Site AOC 2: NG employees in the DCSG4 (This includes Combined Support Maintenance Shop - West, Director of Logistics, State Surface Maintenance Office, FMS's 2, 4, 5, 9, 10, 16, 17, 24, 27, 28, 29, and 33, and the Combined Support Maintenance Shop - East) AOC 3: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 4: All service members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (This includes M-Day Soldiers, Temporary Technicians and AGR Personnel) AOC 5: Individuals who are currently serving in another branch of service who are willing to become members of the PANG Military Grades: OFFICER O1-O3 WARRANT OFFICER WO1-CW5 ENLISTED E1-E9 Supervisor for this position is CPT Olson *NOTE: Accessioning into this position is contingent upon verification of Secret Security Clearance GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field.

Experience using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate at least 24 months experience, education, or training involving detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities).

Experience integrating actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to meet program goals. Experience interpreting and applying regulations, laws or practices.

Experience planning and organizing work assignments. QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying.

Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed.

The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.

Major Duties:

As a Logistics Management Specialist, GS-0346-09, you will develop, implement and evaluate the logistics and property accountability policies for the organization.

Responsible for the property book operations of the organization in the areas of inventory management, storage management, equipment coordination and supply management.

Maintain property book accountability utilizing an automated system and/or related computer programs to account for property.

Ensure compliance with the command supply discipline program (CSDP), and other directed command inspection programs.

Coordinates with the USPFO, state level Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) and subordinate units of the organization on the lateral transfer and/or turn in of excess property.

Establish quality procedures and oversees the edit of all source documentation. Provide guidance and funds management for all decentralized logistics funds.

May be required to represent the National Guard and the unit Commander in the community. Perform other duties as assigned.
