Full Job Description

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Support Equipment (SE) and Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Group, Support Equipment Department, PEO(A) Peculiar SE Division, P-8A/P-3/VH-92 SE Branch, supporting the E-130J Peculiar SE Team of the NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIVISION LAKEHURST.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Leading the planning, coordination, direction, evaluation and implementation of life-cycle logistics support for a major weapon system or subsystem; 2) Interpreting laws, regulations and policies to provide expert guidance related to the acquisition and sustainment of logistics products; 3) Tracking and analyzing data to detect trends and/or causes for declining performance; 4) Developing and implementing corrective actions, program enhancements, new processes and policy changes to resolve logistics issue; 5) Coordinating and reviewing the work of other personnel assigned to team, project, or program; 6) Identifying specific requirements (such as funding, manpower, material, facilities, and/or services) needed to provide required support in accordance with program goals for cost, schedule and performance.

  • You will lead life-cycle Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, management, and execution for aviation Support Equipment (SE).
  • You will advise on product and logistics matters, business planning, metrics management, and implementation strategies to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
  • You will identify/analyze risks, develop solutions, and resolve complex ILS problems by developing new approaches, policies, and/or procedures.
  • You will conduct meetings and conferences to exchange information, discuss problems, explain policy, review program status, justify requirements, and make technical decisions and recommendations.
  • You will identify specific requirements for funding and, manpower, establish priorities, direct workload, provide contractor oversight and develop/mentor junior logisticians.
