Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team to manage and optimize server systems for a Navy IT division, ensuring they run smoothly, stay secure, and support network services.
It focuses on troubleshooting issues, maintaining hardware and software, and providing cybersecurity support for deployed technologies.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating IT systems configuration to sustain the functionality and availability by optimizing and troubleshooting servers hardware/software interface and interoperability problems AND recommending improvements on system operations.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. 1.
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Optimize the functionality of networks and systems; conducts functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability; implements systems security plans and policies and preventive maintenance schedules.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: schedules maintenance activities during off-peak usage periods; oversees installation, implementation, configuration, maintenance, and support of network components; 3.
Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Liaison with clients on all matters related to network operations and support; Prepare and present reports; Participate in the IT capital planning process.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: conducts functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability; provides ongoing optimization and problem solving support; resolves problems, such as defective hardware components or corrupted software; diagnose and recover failed systems.
