Summary

This job involves managing and supporting IT systems for the U.S.

Navy's Pacific Fleet, including planning upgrades, deploying new equipment like computers and video tools, and helping users with their tech needs.

It's a hands-on role focused on keeping networks secure and efficient for military teams.

Full Job Description

You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/CUSTSPT) in the Deputy Chief of Staff C4I, Force Information Systems of PAC FLEET SUB FORCE OPS COMPONENT.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating and implementing information technology (IT) projects affecting customer support services (e.g.

systems upgrades); deploying new or replacement equipment (e.g.

mobile devices, multifunction devices, video teleconferencing, workstations and peripherals, and other IT equipment) to optimize the security and functionality of end users' IT systems.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

  • You will plan and coordinate new IT Projects to implement including NMCI upgrades and changes affection shore based customers.
  • You will assist claimant commands to define customer IM/IT requirements, manage NMCI network service and accounts, schedule and coordinate new services.
  • You will serve as a customer liaison for all customer service problems.
  • You will apply configuration management disciplines to assist claimant customers to properly manage and maintain an accurate inventory of network assets and installed services.
