Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position.
To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector.
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement.
Creditable specialized experience includes: Provides Citrix/VDI technical guidance, assistance, and advice to other personnel to facilitate and enhance the translation of customer/user expectations into automated requirements.
Manages Enterprise Citrix Server Farms on a virtual platform, via VMware to include: all virtual server infrastructure needed to support Citrix project, Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, and provisioning software/appliances, perform installation, configuration, maintenance and support of servers in a Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop environment.
Review performance metrics of Farm infrastructure to ensure availability of resources for external or remote users and internal users making server adjustments to improve that availability.
Researches and analyzes Citrix/VDI IT methods, techniques, and procedures to determine overall effectiveness to make recommendations to leadership to improve organizational efficiency.
Implements temporary networking and server fixes for critical system failures; troubleshoots and coordinates problem resolution with vendors/other activities Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
