Job Duties:
- The IT Customer Support Specialist III resolves technical issues relating to computer hardware or software devices. Speaks with customers to diagnose technical issues, pulls reports with listed or escalated issues, or completes computer generated or assigned.
Serves as Regional Site Engineer for all DSS automated applications. Assignment include management of all aspects of the regional local area networks.
Arranges and oversees or performs equipment and software installation.
Provides training to users on network, personal computing, and local system functions, to include data backups, downloads, reports development.
- Works with lead technician for the region to analyze problems and resolve or document and forward to appropriate technical or project staff for resolution.
- Serves in a staff rotation to provide evening and weekend support for Agency staff working in program areas that have been approved and designated for 24/7 work cycles.
- Participates in evaluations of equipment and software packages and development of recommendations on technical solutions that meet the needs of users and the technical environment. Conducts post-installation studies and evaluations for the regions.
- Perform Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as directed.
Requirements
A High School Diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications system design, installation, operation, repair, or processing of information in a data processing environment or related systems.
An Associate Degree or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience.
