Summary

Full Job Description

You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER (MECHNICAL/AEROSPACE) in the FST ENGINEERING DIVISION of FLTREADCEN EAST.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Expertise in Fleet Support Team (FST) Engineering; 2) Developing program sustainment and acquisition engineering support; 3) Effectively managing technical and professional services required to sustain a weapon system; 4) Evaluating new approaches, guides and standards to make engineering decisions.

  • You will investigate, research, and determine applicability of major modifications for the program.
  • You will ensure industrial planning and support of platform systems, components, and field team work/maintenance is accomplished efficiently.
  • You will be responsible for responding/coordination technical feedback to supportability/maintainability questions from operating and maintenance personnel.
  • You will monitor performance of engineering technical analyses, engineering investigations, economic analysis analyses and support services provided directly to the operational community.
