Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves leading a team to manage and improve ship control systems on U.S.
Navy amphibious ships, focusing on software development, integration, cybersecurity, and long-term planning to keep the technology up-to-date and secure.
It includes working on new purchases, testing systems, and collaborating with various groups to ensure everything runs efficiently and safely.
A good fit would be someone with experience in IT project leadership, especially in defense or engineering, who enjoys solving technical challenges in a team setting.
You will serve as a Ship Control Systems Team Lead in the HM&E Ship Control Systems Division of NSWC PHILA DIV.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
This includes specialized experience in the Information Technology career field in the Federal service; managing complex programs planning and proposing system improvements, cyber enhancements and new developments, as well as strategic life cycle planning and modernization to address and avoid technical obsolescence and reduce software variants to improve supportability and reduce life cycle costs; managing software delivery and system integration; supporting acquisition including major modernization programs from planning through; execute material procurements and contracting; lead communications with stakeholders crossing organizational boundaries and collaborate with sponsors; and lead project teams.
