Base salary range: $88,520 - $115,079

Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves creating and updating security policies for the Navy to protect sensitive information, including classified and unclassified data, while integrating new technologies like AI into security processes.
You'll advise top leaders on complex security issues, lead policy development with various stakeholders, and ensure security is built into how the Navy buys and develops new systems.
It's a great fit for someone with senior-level experience in government or private sector security programs who enjoys strategic planning and working on high-stakes national defense matters.
You will serve as an Information Security Specialist focusing on acquisition security processes within the Information and Acquisition Protection Division of the Security Directorate, Office of the Chief of Naval Intelligence and Security (OCNI&S).
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: This specialized experience is defined as holding a senior role in the development, modernization, or implementation of an enterprise-wide information security program.
You must also demonstrate experience providing authoritative counsel to senior officials on complex matters related to the protection of classified and unclassified information.
This includes leading collaborative policy development with internal and external stakeholders, analyzing and shaping national-level security policy, and driving modernization initiatives to enhance an organization's overall security posture and operational effectiveness.
