Summary

This job involves maintaining and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems at a residential care center to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents.

Requirements

In this position, you will maintain the center's HVAC, refrigeration, and retherm equipment in proper operation for the comfort and safety of residents.

You can expect to check and maintain all refrigerators, freezers, milk coolers, and walk-in boxes.

Your work will involve installing new refrigeration and related equipment, as well as new HVAC and related equipment when necessary.

Some of your duties will include making adjustments and repairs to heating systems, maintaining central air conditioning units, operating and maintaining refrigerant recovery and recycling equipment, and assisting electricians as required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
    • This may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime as needed
  • Free parking!

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, units, and equipment; or
  • Completion of a three-year Vo-Tech training program in refrigeration, HVAC, or building automation and six months experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, related digitally controlled equipment, or BA systems; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration equipment.


Special Requirements:

  • You must obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from an approved provider within 6 months of employment.
  • This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.
