Full Job Description

Begin an exciting, new opportunity with the Department of Human Services! We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Human Services Licensing Representative.

In this role, you will work with our staff in the Bureau of Human Services Licensing to conduct inspections and investigations of community service providers.

Requirements

In this position, you will be responsible for inspection, licensure, and monitoring of community service providers to ensure they are meeting regulatory standards and legal requirements.

Your work will involve conducting inspections of community service providers and programs to measure compliance with appropriate regulations.

Inspections are conducted for Community Homes, Family Living Homes, Adult Training Facilities and Vocational Facilities. You will prepare licensing inspection summaries and review plans of correction.

Further duties will also include providing technical assistance, guidance, and advice to community service providers.

Additionally, you will attend appeal hearings and provide testimony regarding licenses.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Travel is required throughout Berks, Bradford, Carbon, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Wayne, and Wyoming counties.
  • This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the North East Region which includes Berks, Bradford, Carbon, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Wayne and Wyoming counties by the time of hire.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
