This job involves providing comprehensive human resources support to managers and employees at a military base, handling tasks like staffing, training, benefits, and resolving personnel issues.
A good fit would be someone with at least a year and a half of HR experience in areas like recruitment or employee relations, who is skilled at solving complex problems and comfortable using office software.
Those with prior work in non-appropriated fund HR offices and relevant training will stand out as top candidates.
This position could be located at Fort Belvoir, or Joint Base Myers Henderson Hall. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less).
Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1.
Possess eighteen (18) months or more of work experience in a human resources office which demonstrates knowledge of at least two of the following functional human resources competencies: Staffing, Recruitment, Position Classification, Management Employee Relations, Labor Relations, or Training.
2. Experience analyzing, evaluating and recommending appropriate resolutions to complex interrelated Human Resources problems and issues. 3.
Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 4. Ability to work with a variety of human resources information systems.
The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower pay band (NF-03).
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Twelve (12) months of prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office and have successfully completed training in Basic Staffing, Customer Service, Organizational Structure, Basic Writing, and Time Management.
