Base salary range: $62,107 - $80,737
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-10. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 years graduate study.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves helping the Navy manage job roles by classifying positions, writing job descriptions, and advising on organizational structure to support career growth and HR efficiency.
It requires analyzing complex HR issues, conducting interviews, and leading training for other HR staff.
A good fit would be someone with strong experience in federal HR classification, good communication skills, and a passion for solving organizational challenges in a government setting.
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION) in the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness Branch of BUREAU OF NAVAL PERSONNEL in Millington, TN.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Communicating with management and providing recommendations on organizational design that assists with improving HR posture with emphasis on career development principles and practices.
2) Identifying, evaluating and/or recommending HR interventions to resolve inter-related classification problems/issues.
3) Preparing analyses and evaluations reports and discussing their findings and providing technical advice.
4) Evaluating federal HR processes relating to classification issues to overall HR management processes.
5) Evaluating federal HR classification and position management philosophy, concepts, principles, methods, practices, programs, techniques, laws, and executive orders for a wide range of professional, scientific, administrative and highly technical positions.
