Base salary range: $37,764 - $49,094
Typical requirements: 1 year specialized experience at GS-5. Bachelor's degree + some experience.
Note: Actual salary includes locality pay (15-40%+ depending on location).
This job involves supporting the recruitment and processing of military officer candidates by handling paperwork, screening applications, and maintaining records for the U.S. Marine Corps.
You'll work closely with applicants to ensure everything is complete and accurate while using computer tools to manage data.
It's a good fit for someone organized with office experience, strong people skills, and familiarity with basic software who wants to contribute to military recruiting.
You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (MIL/OA) in the Officer Selection Team Roanoke, of 4TH MARINE CORPS DISTRICT.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing clerical support such as administering background screening, reviewing documents, and/or processing applicant packages for commissioning programs; 2) Utilizing knowledge of Office 365 products (Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams) as well as AdobePro; and 3) Working independently to maintain deadlines.
