This job involves helping with the enlistment process for the Navy by reviewing applications, scheduling medical exams, and managing records for potential recruits in New Orleans.
It's an entry-level role supporting military recruiting efforts.
A good fit would be someone organized with attention to detail, comfortable using computers, and interested in helping people join the military.
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES/ENLISTED PROCESSING (MIL) ASSISTANT for theNAV RECRUITING DISTRICT NEW ORLEANS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Interpreting military regulations to provide guidance regarding enlistment and recruiting programs; 2) Preparing personnel documents or correspondence using proper spelling, punctuation, grammar and format; and 3) Utilizing automated systems to prepare reports, and enter/retrieve data.
