Full Job Description

You will serve as a Housing Manager (Inspector) in the Housing Programs, Fleet and Family Readiness division of NAVAL AIR STATION WHIDBEY ISLAND.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) conducting housing facility inspections and identifying deficiencies; 2) interpreting, explaining and applying technical requirements and specifications to quality problems encountered in such activities as audits, facility inspections, and 3) preparing reports and point papers that include information relative to data collection, analysis and recommendation for action.

  • You will plan, organize, and perform work required to ensure proper customer service and compliance with appropriate mandates of the Navy Community Service Program, local command directives, and Navy Housing Office policies and procedures.
  • You will maintain Public Private Venture (PPV) Property liaison correspondence and records; submit required reports promptly and accurately.
  • You will ensure community relations are maintained in Public Private Venture (PPV) property housing neighborhoods.
  • You will develop and implement a formal quality assurance plan, which incorporates a schedule, performance indicators, and validation methods.
  • You will analyze instructions and directives from higher authorities to evaluate and implement into program policies.
  • You will conduct studies by collecting data on quality, cost and capacity utilization to create metrics for tracking overall family housing programs.
  • You will develop and implement a comprehensive inspection and quality assurance program to consistently improve the guest experience.
  • You will assemble facts, evaluate information, and draft reports to resolve housing problems.
