Job Description

Summary

This job involves helping military personnel find suitable housing by interviewing them, checking eligibility, managing waitlists, and connecting them with local real estate options.

It's an entry-level administrative role in the U.S. Marine Corps, focused on providing support and information to service members of all ranks.

A good fit would be someone with customer service experience, strong organizational skills, and comfort using basic computer systems to handle applications and data.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will interview personnel of all ranks seeking housing assistance.
  • You will counsel personnel on eligibility requirements, availability of housing, application procedures for on-station housing and current on/off station referral procedures and services.
  • You will determine eligibility, bedroom entitlement, and application control date for placement on the appropriate Wait List.
  • You will operates data processing equipment to input housing applications, housing listings, and to retrieve lists and reports.
  • You will maintain liaison with Realtors and owners of community housing units in order to provide accurate and up-to-date lists to service members.
