This job involves leading the maintenance and management of a large fleet of vehicles and equipment for Pennsylvania's transportation department, including overseeing repairs, auctions, and usage tracking to keep everything running smoothly.
A good fit would be someone with hands-on experience in heavy vehicle maintenance who enjoys supervising teams and organizing operations in a government setting.
It's ideal for a detail-oriented leader who can handle both day-to-day fixes and long-term planning.

As a Highway Equipment Manager 2, you will oversee the management of the Central Office's fleet, including the repair and allocation of vehicles, the operations of the component re-manufacturing shop, the organization of the department's Heavy Equipment Auctions, and the seasonal repair program for bridge cranes.
Additionally, you will serve as the Building and Grounds Maintenance Coordinator within the Fleet Management Division.
Your responsibilities will include developing, communicating, and maintaining fleet quotas and replacement cycles for the Central Office, as well as monitoring the usage of all vehicles assigned to Central Office personnel.
You will ensure adherence to maintenance policies and procedures for all equipment, while also establishing and maintaining a tracking system for engine rebuilds and replacements based on fleet inventory.
Furthermore, you will be tasked with monitoring and adjusting engine production in response to demand and replacement trends, ensuring that the fleet operates efficiently and effectively.
