Serves as the primary coordinator for the Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) and Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) grants; and as such, serves as a liaison between the Laboratory staff and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Health Resources and Services Administration grant (HRSA), and the Communicable Disease Epidemiology Section.

The ELC/HRSA federal grant administrator for DPH Public Health Laboratory (PHL) will plan, organize, coordinate and develop grant activities in cooperation with the Laboratory Directors and is responsible for ensuring deliverables outlined are accomplished.

Oversees the daily administration of ELC and HRSA grant deliverables, updates grant policies and procedures, monitors progress against goals and prepares required programmatic reports in a timely manner.

Works in collaboration with the PHL Sections to ensure compliance with guidelines in fiscal reporting and grant activities associated with lab projects.

Proactively anticipates any changes in budgetary requirements and revises documentation accordingly, ensuring cost remains within budget parameters.

Represents the PHL during appropriate meetings and events designed to promote grant initiative and its goals.

Maintains proactive contract with PHL stakeholders and reports to the Assistance Laboratory Director. Will assist with the planning and implementation of events and promotions related to the grants.

Requirements

State Minimum Requirements: A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
