Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will spearhead the comprehensive modernization of Naval Ordnance Test Unit (NOTU) facilities to support the critical TRIDENT II D5 Life Extension program.
  • You will direct a wide range of facilities projects, including new construction, renovations, and infrastructure repairs, from initial concept to final completion.
  • You will develop and review scopes of work, requests for proposals (RFPs), and engineering designs for all facility maintenance and modernization projects.
  • You will act as the primary liaison for facilities, coordinating extensively with key partners like NAVFAC, Space Force, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • You will guide all phases of project implementation, setting priorities and taking corrective action to prevent delays and ensure mission readiness.
  • You will participate in establishing and implementing a preventative maintenance program to maintain the quality and control of all Navy-assigned buildings.
