The Department of Human Services is seeking a dedicated and motivated Fiscal Technician to join the accounting team at Wernersville State Hospital.
In this role, you will handle a range of accounting responsibilities that support both the facility and the Wernersville-based South Mountain Workshop.

In this position, you will carry out a broad range of general accounting duties utilizing QuickBooks and SAP.
Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying invoices, preparing and issuing payments, receiving and depositing sales remittances, recording journal entries, and compiling monthly financial reports.
You will respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment issues and collaborate with purchasing agents, storekeeping personnel, and department directors to identify and resolve payment-related concerns.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining pharmacy inventory records, overseeing special accounts and inventory, and processing documentation related to contracts and purchase orders.
In addition, you will provide guidance to administrative and operational staff.
This role requires a strong sense of initiative and the ability to exercise sound independent judgment in completing your work.
