This job involves managing large budgets for a nutrition program that supports women, infants, and children, including tracking funds, preparing financial projections, and ensuring compliance with grant rules.

As a Fiscal Management Specialist 1, you will manage approximately $57 million in Nutritional Service Administration (NSA) funds and approximately $144 million in food funds for participants.
You will maintain a working knowledge of all grant mandates and activities, along with federal budget regulations, in order to accurately oversee the distribution of costs between funding sources.
You will also evaluate budget requests, make adjustments, prepare recommendations, and review fiscal documents and transactions.
This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to ensure availability of fiscal resources necessary for agency needs.
In addition, you will assist with yearly budget and re-budget requests, prepare monthly fiscal projections, and provide technical assistance for audits.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to three days per week.
In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
