This is a dynamic role in county government where you will have the opportunity to perform detailed accounting work to provide fiscal support to the agency. Requirements

In this important role, you will analyze provider professional and purchased service invoices, review invoiced amounts for accuracy and verify that all services are matched to approvals.

Your attention to detail skills will be key as you verify that days of care billed match county records and ensure that all required invoicing elements and code invoices for payment have been provided.

You can expect to contact providers to discuss any invoicing issues that do not meet established procedures.

This position analyzes forms, correspondence, reports and other fiscal records to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with fiscal regulations.

Our ideal candidate must be able to work independently and confidentially, able to multi-task, have advanced accounting and PC knowledge (AS400, CIS, Microsoft Word and Excel).


Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, one (1) day per week of telework may be available, after 6-months of employment.

    In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.

    If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or
  • Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
  • One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.


Legal Requirement:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
