Full Job Description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the Regional Disbursing Office-East of II MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE, Camp Lejeune, NC I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-08) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Processing payroll actions, researching and finding solutions to pay issues, coordinating budget information on funding and shortfalls AND performing administrative and performance management support for an organization.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will inform customers of pay, leave, or financial regulations and procedures
  • You will locate accounting, budgetary, or financial information to be used by higher-graded analysts in decision making.
  • You will compute entitlements using Mathematical comprehension sufficient to operate with several different foreign currencies simultaneously.
  • You will monitor the review and analysis of procurement actions to ensure proper and timely progression through the accounting and reporting cycle.
  • You will advise others on budget and financial processes or regulations.
  • You will gather, extract, and consolidate financial information from various systems to prepare reports.
  • You will maintain financial management systems for administrative services (e.g., travel, contracting, budgeting, civilian personnel support).
  • You will discuss financial policies and procedures with team members.
  • You will respond orally to inquiries or routine requests for financial information.
