Full Job Description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGER in the COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE GROUP EIGHT.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, assessing, programming, budgeting, managing, executing, directing and coordinating resource management activities and developing financial management policy and procedures for a command or organization.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Major Duties:

  • You will Assist the Comptroller in the distribution, monitoring and control of fiscal resources for NSWG-10.
  • You will synthesize financial data to interpret composite results of financial operations to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Naval Special Warfare Command (NSWC), and other higher-management level commands.
  • You will ensure Navy FIAR initiatives within the command are consistent with NSWC and USSOCOM FIAR efforts.
  • You will assist the Comptroller with analysis and recommendations on budgetary needs of NSWG-10 for all funding matters
  • You will assist the Comptroller in the development of long-range plans consistent with the strategic vision of the command.
