Full Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position is located at U.S. Special Operations Command (Army), SOTF Fort Bragg, NC.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience using automated financial systems and non-financial system interfaces such as General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) Standard Finance System (STANFINS), Standard Army Retail Supply System (SARSS), Remedial Military Training (RMT), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), Fund Control Module).

Develop budget goals and targets.

Budget execution, Analyzing cost structures, reconciles expenditures and prepares periodic cost and performance report Experience with interpretation of fiscal records and reports, maintenance of cost and accounting records.

Some positions allow education as a substitution, this position is based on experience only. Major Duties:

  • Serve as the subject matter technical expert on planning, programming, budgeting and execution, and General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
  • Serve as the principal advisor and technical expert to the Comptroller, key staff members, and the organization on financial management activities.
  • Monitor the execution of the command budget, ensuring follow-up on all commitments/obligations and unliquidated obligations for current and prior years.
  • Distribute and administer all funds issued, allotments, allowances, obligation authorities, receivables, reimbursables, and other fund instruments.
