Job Description

Summary

This job involves managing budgets and financial plans for large programs in the U.S. Marine Corps, including creating estimates, reviewing spending, and advising on efficient use of funds.

A good fit would be someone with experience in government or large-scale financial analysis who enjoys working with policies and numbers to support military operations in Hawaii.

Full Job Description

You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the AC/S, G-8 DIVISION of MARINE FORCES PACIFIC.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing budgeting AND/OR financial analysis' of national AND/OR large level programs; developing, recommending and implementing budgetary OR financial policies.

  • You will formulate budgets and estimates to support work plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.
  • You will review and evaluate budget request, control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
  • You will implement internal controls and provide advice on effective and efficient methods for acquisition and use of funds to support the organization's programs and activities.
  • You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations.
  • You will implement legal and regulatory control over approved budgets.
  • You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices.
