Base salary range: $41,966 - $54,557

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
To be hired at the GS-07 grade level: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-05 if applying at the GS-07 level) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience at the GS-07 level is defined as: Applying the Civilian Pay operations financial laws, principles, systems, policies, methods, and practices to provide routine technical guidance to managers, employees and/or customers; gathering data and analyzing reports from the Civilian Pay operation, financial systems, and researching financial policies and laws to resolve common financial issues related to Civilian Pay.
To be hired at the GS-09 grade level: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-07 if applying at the GS-09 level) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience at the GS-09 level is defined as: Applying financial laws, regulations, policies and procedures while performing random reviews of disbursements for Civilian Pay.
Organizes, collects, analyzes and presents a variety of data, information, and statistics related to the Civilian Pay program and projects based on reviews of disbursements.
To be hired at the GS-11 grade level, applicants must minimally have: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-09 if applying at the GS-11 level) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience at the GS-11 level is defined as: Analyzes and evaluates the Civilian Pay financial management systems, public laws, governing policies, guidelines, rules, regulations, and precedents.
Provides advisory services to management in relationship to performance assessments and keeps them informed of inconsistencies in work processes within the Civilian Pay Business Line.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
To be considered for the GS-7, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-5 or higher in the Federal service.
To be considered for the GS-9, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-7 or higher in the Federal service.
To be considered for the GS-11, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-9 or higher in the Federal service.
